The Minister of the FCT, Muhammad Musa Bello, yesterday visited the site of Abuja University of Technology Abaji (AUTA), assuring that academic activities will take off soon.
Bello promised that his administration will do everything possible to ensure that all the necessary things required are provided.
The minister called on the people of the council and environs to always support his administration to complete the project.
The minister noted that the University of Technology, will bring about job creation and human empowerment.
He called for positive support from the traditional rulers and other stakeholders to ensure completion of the project.
Also speaking, the Ona of Abaji, Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, urged the minister to evolve measures that will bring about successful take off of the university.
The traditional ruler observed that the university will open up more development and boost youth empowerment, with creation of jobs for many Nigerians.
On his part, the Chairman of Abaji Area Council, Alhaji Abdulrahaman Ajiya, described the minister’s visit as the fulfilment of the APC campaign promises to the people of Abaji and its environs.
The minister, later proceeded to Gurara River bank at Mawogi village, in which he assured residents of the community of construction of a bridge across the river.
He also inspected the gully erosion at Unguwar Wadata in Abaji.
