Former Chinese TV Host Imprisoned For Drunk Driving


A Beijing Court on Friday sentenced former Chinese TV host, Lang Yongchun, to three months imprisonment for drunk driving.

Lang was involved a late-night accident while driving his SUV on October 5 on West Dawang Street in Chaoyang District.

His blood alcohol recorded was 207.9mg/100ml, which was exceedingly high, Chaoyang District People’s Court said.

The court sentenced him to three months in detention, and fined him $600.

Lang was previously a host of the evening news on China Central Television, CCTV, China’s state broadcaster.

He left CCTV in 2015, according to his public profile.
