Malawi’s economy is expected to grow by five per cent this year, up from four per cent the previous year and in line with IMF projections, the central bank said.
The apex bank said on Friday in Lilongwe that the growth was boosted by better agriculture output.
Malawi’s President Peter Mutharika had promised to grow the economy by at least seven per cent a year between this year and 2024. (Reuters/NAN)
